Tomonobu Senjyu

Tomonobu Senjyu (IEEE Fellow) is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at University of the Ryukyus, Japan. His research interests mainly include renewable energy, power system optimization and operation, power electronics, and advanced control of electrical machines. Prof. Senjyu is also an  IEEJ Fellow, and AAIA Fellow. He has published over 870 academic papers, with a Scopus h-index of 72 and total citations exceeding 21,000.

Shunli Wang

Shunli Wang (IET Fellow&IEEE Senior Member) is a Professor, Doctoral Supervisor, Academic Dean of Electric Power College in Inner Mongolia University of Technology, China.His research interests include new energy storage systems, battery management technology, smart grid applications, and green low-carbon energy storage for intelligent power grids. He has led 56 research projects and published 258 SCI papers with 42 highly cited papers. He holds 67 patents, has published 9 monographs, and received 13 scientific awards including three international gold medals.

Pierluigi Siano

Pierluigi Siano (IEEE  Senior Member) is currently a Full Professor of Electrical Power Systems and Scientific Director of the Smart Grids and Smart Cities Laboratory at the University of Salerno, Italy. His research focuses on demand response, energy management, integration of distributed energy resources in smart grids, electricity markets, and power system planning. He has published over 800 articles, receiving over 29,000 citations on Scopus with an h-index of 81.

Om P. Malik

Om P. Malik (IEEE Life Fellow&IET Fellow) is Professor Emeritus at the University of Calgary, Canada. Over a 60‑year career, he pioneered adaptive controllers for electric power systems and wind generation—now deployed on large generating units. He has published more than 800 papers with over 410 in journals and co‑authored four books on power systems. A graduate of London University with a Ph.D. in 1965, he has supervised more than 110 graduate students including 59 Ph.D. graduates. He is also a Fellow of EIC, CAE, and Engineers Canada.

Farhad Shahnia

Farhad Shahnia (IEEE Senior Member) is a Professor at Murdoch University, Australia. He has authored one book, edited six books, and published more than 250 papers. He received the IET Premium Award (2015) and a Best Paper Award at IEEE IAS I&CPS (2019), and was also a recipient of the Australia-China Young Scientist Exchange Award (2016). He serves as a Subject Editor for IEEE Access and IET Generation, Transmission & Distribution, and previously served as the 2020-2021 Chair of IEEE WA Section. He is also a Fellow of Engineers Australia.

Xueqian Fu

Xueqian Fu (IEEE Senior Member) is an Associate Professor at the College of Information and Electrical Engineering, China Agricultural University, China. His research interests include agricultural energy internet, power system planning, renewable energy integration, and integrated energy systems. He has published more than 50 SCI papers as first/corresponding author, including multiple ESI Highly Cited Papers. He was consecutively named a World's Top 2% Scientist for 2023, 2024, and 2025. He is a recipient of the “Shennong” China Agricultural Science and Technology Award (First Prize).

Jiashen Teh (IEEE Senior Member) is an Associate Professor at University Science Malaysia, Malaysia. His research interests include dynamic line rating, renewable energy integration, and power system optimization. He has published over 80 SCIE papers with more than 5,000 citations and has been recognized as a World's Top 2% most-cited researcher for five consecutive years (2020–2025). He holds 3 intellectual properties. He received the IEEE PES Outstanding Engineer Award (2021) and the IET Malaysia Outstanding Young Professional Award (2022).

Fang Liu

Fang Liu (IEEE Senior Member) is a Professor in Automation Science and Technology at Central South University, China. Her research interests include power system stability, renewable energy generation technologies, smart grids, information fusion, deep learning, and robust control of time-delay systems. She has led 30 research projects and published over 100 papers in high-impact international journals and conferences. She holds over 20 patents/software copyrights, has published 4 books, and has received numerous honors such as National High-Level Young Talent, Hunan Provincial Leading Talent in Science.

Siqi Bu

Siqi Bu (IET Fellow, IEEE Senior Member) is a Professor in Power and Energy Systems at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University, China. His research interests include power system stability, renewable energy integration, smart grid applications, and transport electrification. He has been ranked among the World’s Top 2% Most-cited Scientists. He holds multiple Gold Awards from the Geneva International Exhibition of Inventions and has received Outstanding Editor/Reviewer Awards from IEEE Transactions on Power Systems (7 consecutive times), IEEE Transactions on Sustainable Energy, and other flagship journals.

Paolo Mercorelli

Paolo Mercorelli is a Distinguished Full Professor and Chair of Control Systems at Leuphana University, Germany. He is a former Marie Curie Fellow, and during his time at ABB, was awarded 3 patents. Recognized as a global top 2% scientist by Elsevier/Stanford from 2019 to 2025, he has delivered 13 plenary lectures and received over 10 Best Paper Awards. He has authored more than 180 papers and serves as Editor-in-Chief of two international journals. His research integrates control theories such as Kalman filtering, sliding mode control, and model predictive control with wavelets and geometric control, applying them to sensorless control, robotics, and key tasks like battery SOC estimation, engine valve control, and DC-DC converter fault detection.
